The Dog Days Ale
Solar-Powered Morris :: June 20-22, 2008
Thank You!
Another wonderful Dog Days Ale is just a memory for all of us who were there - until next year! We want to say a big Thank You! to our hosts Peter Hoover and Peggy Haine who so graciously let us use their property year after year. They have an awesome place, with the sauna and pond making the ale truly a decadent treat. Special thanks also to Heartwood Morris member, Steve Daughettee, who served so ably as Fire Czar and Sauna Co-Czar again this year, and in his role as Green Man (trash hauler!).
We also wish to thank all the great teams who attended this year's Dog Days Ale. We couldn't have done it without you! It was a blast getting together with old friends and new. Also a big thank you also to all our volunteers - you really made all the difference for our busy czars!!!
A couple of requests/pieces of information:
Photos
Picasa: We have started a Picasa page for ale photos this year and past years, and we have put a few up already.
The url is: http://picasaweb.google.com/ale.dogdays.
We welcome submissions from all ale attendees! To upload photos directly to the site email Karin for the login information.
Please label your photos with as much information as possible: the day and place where it was taken, the name of the team and/or people in the photo, and of course, appropriate photo credit!! (see photos already uploaded as a model).
If you do not feel comfortable uploading the photos yourself, please email pictures to Karin and she will be happy to do it for you.
Lost and Found
There are only a few lost-and-found items for this year (yay!). We found:
- Blue (on line brand) mid-season jacket, size L (men's?)
- Red Land's End shorts, 32 in. waist

- Large blue and white golf umbrella

Contact Us

We had a wonderful time dancing with you all at this year's Dog Days Ale and hope to have you back again soon. However, we are only able to accommodate a limited number of teams at the Ale from year to year, both because of the size of the site (and indulgence of our host) and because anything larger would unduly stress the sanity of all the Hounds whose energy and planning make it possible. If your team is not invited again next year, this is no reflection on yourselves. :) Contact Karin Howe, the Dog Days Ale Invitation Czar, for more information.
