The
invitation process for this year is completed and we're working on all the
various and sundry details of the event itself. If your team would like to be
considered to attend next year's Dog Days Ale, please contact Julia Wittner,
the Dog Days Ale Invitation Czar,
for more information. To get a sense of the kinds of tours we often do, visit
our list of past ales.
Registration Is Due

Ale fees, including t-shirt payments, minus the deposit you have already sent, should be sent to Julia by June 29. Remember that there is a late fee of $10 for adult registrations made after this deadline.
- Adults -- If you pay by June 29 (tail wag) -- $60
- Adults -- If you pay after June 29 -- $70
- Children are priced at $3/year of age up to age 18 (e.g., a 5 year old costs $15); 19 years of age and older priced as adults.
Meals At The Ale

All meals from Friday night's light snack to Sunday lunch are included in the Ale fee. The menus for the weekend will consist of vegetarian (largely ovo-lacto, not vegan) dishes. We have tried to anticipate food allergies and restrictions in menu planning. Look at the menus and make sure that we have addressed your specific need. Let us know your restrictions and we'll make an effort to accommodate you. Be sure that your team's squire reports your food restrictions when submitting the final team roster to the Invitation Czar.

A Word From Our Host

Peter Hoover is graciously providing almost complete run of his property. We will be camping on his land. We will erect a large tent and will set up tables and chairs for meals and as a place to congregate should there be rain. We have use of an improved cooking facility built into Peter's cider house and have shifted meal preparation, serving, and what-not away from the front porch area of the house. Ale participants may use Peter's sauna in evening along with its woodstove-fired shower. Peter's clean pond is available for on-site swimming. Such luxury!
However, some restrictions do apply. Peter is asking the following of all Ale participants.
- NO dogs or cats. No exceptions.
- Park along Rumsey Road. Please do not park in or block the driveway. Please do try to park along Peter's side of the road as large farm machines do occasionally need to use the road, and they can't get by otherwise.
- The interior of the house is off-limits. Thank you for respecting our hosts' privacy.
Off Site Accommodations

We have plenty of space on-site, but for the camping-impaired we offer a selection of bed and breakfasts that are within 10 minutes of the campsite. We encourage those who don't wish to camp on-site to make their reservations for these as soon as possible, as the Finger Lakes are a prominent tourist destination in the summertime.
